What's tentatively set as the 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Marie Beurrier continues to show fabulously, and I think this vintage continues to grow on Monsieur Bonneau, who said the vintage was too easy last year. Sexy, full-bodied and sweetly fruited with ample lavender, kirsch and mulled fruit characteristics, it has ripe tannin and solid density. I suspect it will drink great right from the gate, although I have no idea when it will actually see the inside of a bottle.
