Another strong performance from Guillemot is the 2021 Corton Le Rognet et Corton Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, rich and textural wine for the vintage, evocative of cherries, plums, red berries, orange rind and cloves. Sadly, only one barrel was produced.

The 2019 Corton Le Rognet et Corton Grand Cru has also turned out very nicely, mingling aromas of cherries, berries and plums with hints of woodsmoke and coniferous forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, deep and sapid, with lively acids, superb depth of fruit and refined tannins, it's long and penetrating.

Notes of cherries, raspberries, candied peel and plums introduce the 2018 Corton Le Rognet et Corton Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, layered and lively wine that's deep and concentrated, with the most reserved, introverted profile of Guillemot's range this year.

The 2017 Corton Le Rognet et Corton Grand Cru is very promising, revealing a complex bouquet of strawberries, plums, mossy soil and burnt orange rind, followed by a medium to full-bodied, attractively layered and concentrated wine for the vintage, with juicy acids and a light framing of chewy tannins. It should develop well in bottle and is the only wine in the cellar that might rival the Serpentières.
