The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Village bursts with aromas of pear, white flowers and orange oil. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with racy acids and a long, saline finish, it has turned out very well.

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village has turned out nicely, exhibiting aromas of crisp white peach, orange oil, spring blossom and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, bright and layered palate. Lively and precise, with chalky structuring extract, it should offer a broad drinking window.

Aromas of waxy citrus rind, white flowers and almond paste introduce the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Village, a medium to full-bodied, satiny-textured and supple wine that's lively and charming. A blend of seven different lieux-dits, this will drink well young.

Beno?t Riffault's 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village is already open and expressive on the nose, wafting from the glass with aromas of ripe lemons, Anjou pear, nutmeg, dried white flowers and warm bread. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with a satiny attack, excellent amplitude and concentration at the core, ripe acids and a long, expansive finish. This is quite a powerful example of the vintage, but don't let its youthful precocity deceive, as it has the structure and substance to evolve gracefully in the cellar.
