A single-vineyard wine that’s mostly Primitivo—blended with small amounts of Montepulciano, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot—this is the big brother to Felline’s Primitivo di Manduria. The red berry flavors are ratcheted up a notch and pick up some peach and apricot notes of sur-maturite. Some time in barrique has imparted creamy milk chocolate, vanilla flavors and fine tannins to the finish. Try in 2–3 years.——C.S.(5/1/2002)—— 88
