Well-structured Barolo with a firm and linear character. It showcases fine tannins with an elegant, lingering finish. It’s medium-bodied with appealing flavors of berries and subtle cedar tones with some bitter orange and spices. Try after 2025.

Cherry, berry, floral and grassy flavors mark this fluid, vibrant red, which is juicy and harmonious, making it approachable now and surprisingly open and integrated for the vintage, with fine length. After two years in barrique (with 40% new oak) the Fratelli Revello 2017 Barolo Conca, with fruit from La Morra, reveals the softness and silkiness that we associate with this Barolo subregion—gently rolling hills, wide horizons and red poppies that grow freely during the spring. This wine has that dried flower or dried hay aroma that we also saw in the Gattera, although it works in better concert here with dried cassis and wild cherry. I suggest this darkly concentrated Barolo for near or medium-term drinking. Some 2,500 bottles were made.
