This is a barrique-aged expression of Calabria's white Mantonico grape. The 2017 Efeso (with 15,000 bottles made) delivers bright aromas of stone fruit, orange zest and baking spice. This vintage is slightly weighted down by the dry heat of the 2017 summer season. The fruit is rich, creamy and less vibrant as result.

A pure expression of Mantonico, the 2015 Efeso comes out gangbuster in terms of intensity and brightness. This is an irresistible white wine made from a Southern Italian grape that definitely deserves more attention. Librandi shows a deft hand when it comes to this grape. The bouquet is fragrant and zesty with tropical fruit, peach and a drying touch of crushed mineral. This is a very drinkable and cheerful white wine.

A pure expression of Mantonico, the 2013 Efeso is an immediate and pristine white wine that offers a full bouquet of creamy peach and exotic fruit aromas. The wine is from the Val di Neto IGT appellation and it shows some of the heat and inner sunshine that characterizes this part of southern Italy. There's a distant touch of sweetness on the close that adds to the overall heft and textural weight of the wine. This is a medium bodied white to pair with pasta or white meat.

The 2010 Efeso Mantonico is a bigger, richer wine than the Critone. Dried pears, almonds and flowers all flesh out in a radiant, broad- shouldered wine that speaks first and foremost to textural richness and volume.
