The 2020 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard, matured for 16 months in 63% new oak, is very expressive and easy to drink. The nose is bursting with blackberry and blueberry jam aromas and streaks of lavender, conifer, aniseed and graphite. The medium-bodied palate is soft and refreshing with generous fruit and a long, floral finish. 1,219 cases produced.

From the southern portion of the Anderson Valley, the 2019 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard has a medium ruby-purple color and layered, appealingly broody aromas of dried red cherries and cranberry jelly, lilac and blueberries, cast iron and licorice. The palate explodes with deep red fruits and tones of blood orange, with a frame of sandy tannins, bursts of fresh acidity and iron-like tones characterizing the long finish. It deserves another 2-3 years in bottle to continue to unfold.

Pale to medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard is youthfully shy on the nose, opening to black cherry, woodsmoke, loamy earth, wet bark, stewed black tea leaves and dried herbs. The palate is light to medium-bodied with restrained fruit and lots of earthy character, firmly framed by chalky tannins and great opposing freshness, finishing long with loads of spicy nuance. 844 cases produced.

Medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard gives up aromas of crushed black cherry, warm blackcurrant and meaty touches to begin, with dusty earth, saline and crushed rock over blueberry and red berry sparks coming through with time plus notes of dried citrus peel and potpourri. Light to medium-bodied, it offers broody, savory-accented dark fruits in the mouth with a sturdy frame of very finely grained tannins and great freshness on the very long, very spicy finish. 889 cases produced.

From the Anderson Valley, the 2013 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard exhibits beautiful raspberry and blueberry fruit, a floral delicacy, medium to full body, and a long, layered texture. This is a beauty and a classic from Anderson Valley. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.
