Raymond Usseglio’s traditional 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape showed beautifully, with good ripeness in its black raspberry, roasted herbs and assorted meatiness. Made from 80% Grenache and the rest Syrah, Cinsault and Counoise, aged 90% in concrete tank, drink this full-bodied, mouth-filling and character-filled offering over the coming 4-5 years.
