Jaboulet now produces two cuvees of Cornas. In 1993 they purchased a tiny 7.5 acre parcel of old vines on the Cornas hillside. The wine produced is called the Domaine de St.-Pierre. In addition to that wine, there is the negociant cuvee of Cornas. The 1994 Cornas Domaine de St.-Pierre is exceptional. It is sweeter, more flattering, and riper than the superb 1995, with a deep ruby/purple color, loads of cassis fruit, and a more luscious, silkier finish. It should drink well for 10-15 years.
