The 2015 Pegaso Granito shows great freshness for a year that was extremely dry and warm, and many wines show high ripeness and a more Mediterranean character. This is quite remarkable, and the altitude and the degraded granite soils helped to keep the balance. The ripeness is complete on this slope (Arrebatacapas) and the wine has a full flavor profile, with the strict sensation of the granite soils on the palate. It is serious, a little closed, and takes some time to open up in the glass and reveal some notes of resin and rock rose flowers and leaves. It feels young and undeveloped and should improve with more time in bottle. 2,700 bottles were filled in July 2017.
