The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Village includes fruit from Les Baudes and Les Gruenchers (same as previous years), consisting of seven barrels from seven different vineyards according to winemaker Pierre Vincent. To be honest, I found this just a little disjointed at first, as if those vineyards were singing from different hymn sheets. Maybe they just need time? The palate is medium-bodied and demonstrated more cohesion than the aromatics, quite peppery in style especially towards the crunchy, structured finish. I suspect this will improve by the time it is bottled.
