The 2012 Puritan Shiraz has a deep purple color and opens with slightly reduced tar and rubber aromas with an underlying core of fresh blackberries, blueberries and plenty of pepper and game notes. The medium-bodied palate has a lifted, somewhat carbonic acid character with tons of vibrant fruit, a refreshing backbone of acidity plus just a touch of soft tannins.
