Blended of 85% Shiraz, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Viognier and 2% Tempranillo, the deep garnet-purple colored 2008 The Love Grass Shiraz is a well constructed gem from this difficult vintage in McLaren. It gives spicy blueberry and mulberry aromas with some anise. The rich, full bodied palate isn’t shy of structure with a solid foundation of high acid and medium-firm finely grained tannins.
