The 2005 Reserva is made up of 50% Garnacha, 25% Samso, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. It displays the same late-harvest raisiny character as the Autor but it, too, remains within the bounds of civility. Dense, thick, and plush, it is a powerful effort that will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring. It lacks only complexity but perhaps that will be imparted by additional bottle age. A safer bet is to enjoy it for its raw power.
