The beautiful 2004 VDP d’Oc Cabernet/Syrah shows good better balance and sweeter tannins and is simply more complete and enjoyable than its older counterpart. The wine is deep ruby/purple and shows notes of figs, black currants, licorice, and scorched earth. It is heady, ripe, medium-bodied, and complete. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
