The dense saturated ruby/purple-colored 2000 Padrone exhibits sweet, ripe fruit on the attack, a Bordeaux-like tannin profile, and a long, spicy finish. It should drink well between 2004-2014. Massive and brilliant, a distinctly Napa Bordeaux blend made succulent by its deep, rich flavors of blackcurrant, cassis and sweet black cherry.
