The 2007 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard is a significantly different expression. More deeply colored, this dark ruby wine is more masculine and structured. Black cherry, black raspberry, and toasty oak notes lead to a Pinot Noir with more power than elegance. There is excellent depth of layered black fruit, plenty of spice, savory flavors, and enough structure to evolve for another 2-3 years in the cellar. It will offer a drinking window extending from 2011 to 2022. Dr. Madaiah Revana, the proprietor of Alexana Winery, made the enlightened choice of Lynn Penner-Ash as his winemaker. She has seen many different weather challenges during her time in Willamette Valley and knew just what to do with those presented in 2007.www.alexanawines.com
