This 2004 John Riddoch is layered with crushed sesame seed, black pepper, raspberry, chocolate, salted licorice and aniseed. It is full and plush, but it’s got finesse and succulence too. 2004 has climatic similarities to 1994 (a vintage we couldn't see the splendor of due to a failed cork). Polished and fine, this is in a beautiful place here—an incredibly harmonious wine of poise. This easily has another 15 years or more to go from today. 2004 was the first vintage under stelvin closure.
