The 2014 Tres Patas is pure Garnacha harvested from five different plots in the village of El Real de San Vicente, in the Gredos mountains in the province of Toledo. The full bunches were foot trodden and fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine matured for one year in 500- and 600-liter French oak barrels. The nose is quite balsamic, with some notes of camphor, an herbal twist and a core of ripe berries with hints of licorice, developing a more Mediterranean character with time, including some classical aromas of esparto grass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and balancing acidity. 11,735 bottles produced.
