This 2014 Barolo Tortoniano is reflective of the cold and difficult vintage. With dark and spicy fruit, it is a simply layered and one-dimensional expression. I would recommend drinking this Barolo within the next 10 years. Some 62,000 bottles were made.

Aromas of cinnamon, eucalyptus and licorice give way to cherry flavors, yet this red is more about the savory, balsamic elements. Smooth initially, followed by tannins that come to the fore on the lingering finish.
