Biale produces an impressive array of Petite Sirahs, including the 2003 Petite Sirah Old Crane Ranch. A limited production, dense ruby/purple-tinged effort, it offers a gorgeously sweet nose of graphite, blueberry liqueur, and cassis. With remarkably sweet tannin, excellent purity and richness, and a long, heady finish, it is uncommonly civilized and approachable for a Petite Sirah, and should drink well for 10-15 years. Tel.
