The 2015 Monthélie 1er Cru Champs Fulliot has a lovely, quite beguiling bouquet just like the Sous Roches village cru: ample red cherries, crushed strawberry with a touch of mineralité coming through with aeration (cold limestone). The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, lively with slightly darker fruit than the Monthélie Sous Roches, endowed with fine structure and vigor on the silky smooth finish. This is worth checking out and sure to be good value.
