While the vintage as whole was difficult for the reds, it’s a solid vintage for the whites. The 2013 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc (40% Clairette, 40% Bourboulenc, 10% Grenache and 10% Roussanne) offers lots of green citrus, mint and hints of minerality in its medium-bodied, juicy, fresh and pure personality. This is made in a fresh, focused and crisp style, and will function perfectly as a meal starter over the coming 2-3 years.
