The 2008 Touriga Nacional "TN" is similarly styled to the Petit Verdot reviewed this issue - graceful mid-palate, lots of oak impressions. With air, it did become a little bit earthier and it has a juicy and very pleasant aspect, once past the blueberry vanilla demeanor. It became quite charming to drink in its own way. With still more air, it became a bit harsh on the finish. A year or two in the cellar might help this. By a slight margin, this would be my pick of the monovarietals reviewed this issue. Drink now-2018. This iconic Southern Portuguese winery has a lot of new labels this year, which generally look pretty good. The labels for the Reserva and Private Selection, of course, feature art by Portuguese artists - see all the back labels for details. The monovarietal wines now come with just a big letter or two on the front - like "S" for Syrah or "V" for Verdelho. The details are on the label in smaller print.Importer: Aidil Wines & Liquors, a division of Olde World Imports, Inc., Rahway, NJ; tel.
