The 1998 Barolo Riserva Le Gramolere shows more spice on its nose, and the cinnamon and sandalwood work very well with the cherry and raspberry fruit. Dense and chewy in texture, very solid but not yet entirely round, the wine could still use a bit of bottle time and can best be drunk between 2006 and 2018.
