A new entry in Adam Tolmach's portfolio is the Vin du Soleil, a blend of 80% Roussanne, 15% Viognier, and 5% Chardonnay. The 2000 white reveals waxy, mango and orange marmalade notes in its medium to full-bodied, ripe, concentrated personality. It had its malolactic blocked, which is good as it has just enough acidity to balance out its weighty, rich mouthfeel. Made from extremely low yields, this Rhone Ranger blend will prove exciting. Drink it over the next 1-3 years.Tel. (805) 649-1674
