The estate’s 2006 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Adrano is a bold, dark wine imbued with black fruits, earthiness, smoke and minerals. Though slightly rustic, the wine reveals tons of length on the palate, with pretty notes of cherries that linger on the finish. All this wine needs is food. The top of the line Adrano is made from tiny yields and is aged in small French oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014.
