The ruby-colored 1999 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill Vineyard reveals an expressive nose of dark spices and toasted oak. On the palate, this wine displays excellent intensity of fruit yet it also possesses a slightly disjointed, firm, dry character. Those who are more willing than I am to forgive hardness in Pinot will find my score too tough. While Vlossak believe it will ameliorate in time, I would suggest drinking it up in the near term.
