The 2015 Taurasi exudes a baroque opulence, with generous layers of tobacco, black cherry and chocolate. The acidity and minerality help to streamline the mouthfeel just a bit, but this remains a large-scale, full-bodied red nevertheless. This wine will be released at the end of this year. I could see a pairing with agnolotti stuffed with roasted meat. The warm and sunny 2015 vintage was especially kind to the Aglianico grape.
