The Cosme Palacio red wines begin with the 2008 Cosme Palacio Vendimia Seleccionada which was aged for 10 months in new French oak. Purple in color and displaying plenty of up-front fruit in a modern style, the wine’s nose sports aromas of toast, spice box, violets, mineral, and black cherry. Savory and supple on the palate with some elegance, this is a tasty, easy to understand effort that will provide pleasure over the next 6-8 years.
