A tropical fruit-driven wine, the full-bodied 1997 Chardonnay Tinaquaic Vineyard is more honeyed than the regular cuvee, with a chewy, denser style, and more noticeable toasty oak, although in both wines, fruit dominates. Although the Tinaquaic cuvee is more structured, it is not better than the regular cuvee, only more restrained. It should be drunk over the next 1-2 years.
