Just bottled and more floral and tropical, with plenty of flowers, lavender and a touch of mint, the 2012 Chardonnay Tinaquaic Vineyard is a big, rounded effort that should be consumed over the coming handful of years. While impressive and well- made, I like the purity and focus of the Block UU - Bien Nacido a tad more. Drink now-2015. Both of these Chardonnays could warrant higher ratings in another year once they settle in bottle. This was a classy, character filled lineup of wines by the folks at Foxen. Tel.
