The 2008 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Colle Morino is deeper, darker and richer than the Vasari in its super-ripe, jammy fruit. Stylistically, the Colle Marino relies on juiciness rather than on aromatics or finesse. It is an enjoyable wine to drink over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013.
