The impressive 1989, made from an estate owned by Libourne's husband and wife oenologist team of Dany and Michel Rolland, is one of the up and coming stars of the appellation. The color is deep ruby/purple and the nose is spicy, with evidence of ne
w oak and ripe cassis. In the mouth, there is excellent definition, medium to full body, fine intensity, and a long, deep, well-structured finish. It should easily last for 10-12 years.
