The reasonably-priced 1999 Lignum (an old oak-aged blend of old vine Carignan, Grenache, and younger vine Cabernet Sauvignon) is a straightforward, solidly made, medium-bodied, earthy, complex, cherry and berry-scented and flavored effort. Fine intensity and length are presented in this uncomplicated, quaffable red. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
