A cooler vintage produced a fresher 2016 El Anejón that is more fluid and has better-integrated oak. The blend is quite different from the 2015 because of the conditions of the vintage, 94% Tinto Fino, 4% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon that matured in new barriques for 12 months. It has a nose of ripe black fruit and sweet spices and a medium to full-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins and a long, dry finish. This was first produced in 2009. 16,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2018. It's evolving quite slowly in bottle.

This brooding red offers notes of black olive, black cherry reduction, tar and wild herb that are detailed with loamy earth, spice and espresso elements, with full, caressing tannins. Tinto Fino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2035. 1,250 cases made, 80 cases imported.??–GS??Region: Spain / Ribera del Duero Select to Add
