Blue fruits along with hints of cinnamon and incense characterize the medium to full-bodied, deep ruby/purple-tinged 2004 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi Vineyard. Made from Dijon Clone 115 planted in limestone/diatomaceous-based soils, it is a loaded, rich, tightly wound effort that will benefit from another 1-2 years of bottle age. Another big Pinot (15.5% alcohol), the 2004 Cargasacchi Vineyard exhibits a dark plum color, creamy style, a full-bodied mouthfeel and notions of pomegranates, black cherries and black raspberries. Earthy with good acidity balancing out the wine’s richness, it is close to full maturity where it should remain for another 5-7 years.
