The 1994 Rosado is an exception to the Muga style, as it is loaded with fresh, lively, strawberry and cherry fruit. It possesses a Tavel-like, full-bodied richness, with an austere, but flavorful palate, and an elegant, crisp finish. There is no residual sugar in this rose, which is meant to be flexible enough to accompany an assortment of dishes. It should be drunk over the next 12-18 months.
The Bodegas Muga is one of the most traditionally run wineries in Spain, believing in long wood aging for their red wines, and releasing the wines only when they are close to full maturity.
