Jaboulet's 1991 Crozes-Hermitage-La Mule Blanche, a tank-fermented blend of 50% Marsanne and 50% Roussanne, displays gobs of honeyed, lemony fruit, excellent definition, rich, medium to full body, crisp acidity, and a long, lush finish. It is a fine example of a white northern Rhone. It is time that consumers start taking a closer look at the white wines from Jaboulet. For years they were acceptable as opposed to thrilling, but that has changed.
