The 2007 Barolo Prapo’ is quite a bit bigger and richer than the Monvigliero. It shows plenty of body, but not as much precision as I had hoped. Still, the generous fruit will make for a delicious, forward Barolo to enjoy over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018.
I was very impressed with the wines I tasted this year from Sebaste, a producer whose Baroli I hadn’t tasted in a few years.
