I tasted through various wines by Mauro Sebaste, and my favorite is the 2009 Barolo Prapo. This rendition of Nebbiolo shows bold lines with ripe fruit overtones. Soft tannins are backed by lush flavors of black cherry and tobacco. This is a simple but genuine Barolo that is suitable for near-term consumption. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020.
