Freshly cracked black pepper, asphalt, licorice, and coffee are found in the aromatic profile of the 2003 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Pruliers. This powerful, medium to full-bodied wine slathers the palate with thick coats of liquid blackness as well as copious ripe tannin. Highly structured, dense, and thick, its brooding, leathery flavor profile comes across more as a mass of darkness at this stage than as individual flavor components (time will bring definition). Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020+.
