The 2022 Shiraz is a vibrant fuchsia in the glass and leads with raspberry pip, pomegranate and red jelly snakes, with pink peppercorns coming in later. The gorgeous tannins are chalky and fine in the mouth; they give a little chew and a little shape. All in all, this is a downright pleasure to drink. It's supple and lovely. Think of like a robust Beaujolais, slinky and good but with shape and form! Drink it before the fruit starts to develop, because the freshness is so compelling.
This was tasted blind as part of the "Value for Money" tasting in September 2023. RRP $30 AUD.
