The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Hameau de Blagny, whose higher attitude means that it usually ripens later than other premier crus, has a sedate and refined green apple, lime and wet limestone bouquet that is tightly coiled at the moment. The palate is crisp and lightly spiced on the entry. The acidity here is well judged and it just seems to “flow” on the finish. This is another top-notch 2013 white from Bachelet-Monnot, even if it does not quite have the same degree of enthralling delineation,
