The 1995 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Tradition exhibits an impressively saturated dark purple color, and a classic, sweet nose of cassis, black cherries, truffles, olives, and pepper. Medium to full-bodied, with considerable power and richness, this wine has shed some of its high tannin, and appears to be even better than I thought last year. This powerful, medium to full-bodied, impressive Chateauneuf du Pape should be at its best between 1999-2010. The Brunel family has been making terrific Chateauneuf du Pape over the last decade, and both 1995 cuvees are very strong efforts. I was unable to taste the 1996s.Importer: Bercut-Vandervoort, 211 South Hill Dr, Brisbane, CA 94005 Ph: (415) 562-1132; Fax: (415) 562-1142
