The 1996 Barolo Le Coste revealed a reduced character and I did not have the opportunity to taste a second sample. Certainly there is a lot to like. This classic old style Barolo exhibits aromas of melted road tar, rose petals, and petroleum. Although hard to evaluate, it is full-bodied and at least excellent. I look forward to tasting it again. It appears to be a wine that will last for 12-15 years. A Marc de Grazia Selection, various American importers, including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel.
