The estate's 2004 Barolo Le Coste is the most ample and full-bodied of these Barolos. It exhibits a gorgeous expression of blueberries, spices, menthol and sweet toasted oak on a structured, layered frame. Today it comes across as fairly austere, but it should develop nicely with another year or two of bottle age. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019.
