Quite aggressively oaky, the 1978 Broustet has clean, crisp, ripe fruity flavors behind a wall of oak. On the palate, the wine is relatively full bodied but seems a little hollow and less succulent and sweet than it should be. It's big and oaky, but a little more fleshy ripe fruit would have made a big difference. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 2/84.
