The Roagna 2016 Barolo Pira Vecchie Viti brings it all home with an incredible bouquet that is focused, intense and beautiful. This wine really stood out to me and remains ever-so compelling thanks to its silky elegance that is feather light but also extremely polished and fresh. I just love this wine, as it sparks a reaction in both the palate and the heart. 3,164 bottles were made.

There's a lightness to this red, yet also an underlying density and structure that frames its core of strawberry, currant and cherry flavors, with wild herb, tobacco and floral notes adding depth as this persists on the long finish.
