The 2006 Pinot Noir Quarter Mile Lane Vineyard is medium/dark ruby-colored with an alluring perfume of cedar, spice box, earth notes, red cherry, and raspberry. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied with excellent depth and grip. The finish is silky and persistent. Drink this tasty wine over the next four years. Adelsheim Vineyard, founded in 1971, continues to be a benchmark winery under the stewardship of David Adelsheim. The winery makes a full range of excellent white wines offered at very fair prices but the focus remains Pinot Noir.
